INDIA IS GREAT


I take my hat off to ISRO !

A good job by ISRO. India has now achieved the unimagined.A developing country with millions of poors and struggling with illiteracy and poverty could do a great mission that too with the least cost possible and maximum international participation. The mission is the most awaited mission of the year and October 22morning 6.22 am created the history by launching the "poor's probe" into earth orbit.All Indians clapped with joy.Malayalis like I also clapped and glued to TV sets for more information as the most ambitious part of the mission that is theMIP or the Mission Impact Probe was made in VSSC Kerala and most of the works of PSLV which took Chandrayaan 1 into orbit were also done there.The following are more details about the probe:-

1) Mass :- 590 kg in lunar orbit

2) Physical size :- 1.5m cuboid shaped

3) Launch date and time :- October 22 , 2008 , 6.22 am

4) Launch vehicle :- PSLV C 11 (XL version)

5) Mission life :- 2 years

6) Launch center :- Sriharikota , India

7) Payloads :- 11 -5 from India and 6 from abroad
